Samory I: "The album is called 'Strength'. It represents the struggles I've overcome, both mentally and physically, and is also a representation of my son, who is my driving force behind this album."
Well it nuh safe when the guns come out
Careful how you run your mouth
To the man dem dung a South
Na bodder pose lie no wannabe
To the youths dem dung a Tivoli
Inna broad daylight dem will tek your life
With a rusty knife
Up a Standpipe
So many places I could name
The situations still the same
Cause eveywhere I go
A dark cloud seems to follow me around
And I don't even know
If there's any peace of mind to be found
Blood in the streets
Rude boy and police
Every man have a piece
But dem nah keep the peace
Scammers and thief
Say dem no squash no beef
Let the dogs of the leash
The return of the beast
In a world where violence is incentivized
Out a touch with leaders who don't empathize
The youths dem choose to scam to build dem enterprise
Protection of dem asset dem nah compromise
So dem organize
The clips dem extra size
When dem step it's like a military exercise
Mercenaries move to kil land then collect the prize
Uncle, mumma, pickney

It's not just here, it's in France, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, especially Antwerp or Rotterdam… it's in a lot of places in the world! 'Blood in The Streets' is not just talking about Jamaican, it's talking about people dying from violence worldwide. Let me tell you one thing I never knew, when I was coming to Europe, they put a program on YouTube for me to really see what was going on, cause I didn't know about these drug dealers that were residing in Belgium, I never know that through these drug-related problems people are dying on a daily basis. I never know about no cocaine, I come into these places to sing my music, to enjoy myself. To tell the people about what was happening in the world, I never saw these things until I watch these programs. So, 'Blood In The Streets' is not something in Jamaica, it's something international, it's happening everywhere in the world!".
Seventeen with a glock
Anything fit he stack
Trigger squeeze man a drop
And a nuh trees man a chop
Change your route, watch your back
Cause a family a set your trap yeah
Mommy pressure rise, she collapse
Another dream in a box
If I could take it back
Give you all that you lack
Switching the balance
From a history of violence
Giving you an avenue
Express yourself
Making you less reliant
On a history of violence
…
Definition of a world gone mad
Youths a kill fi get the life weh dem no have
Government a pull a major land grab
Wipe dem batty with the National Flag
Politician only fight f idem seat
Bare photo op, dem love fi meet and greet
While likkle pickney fraid fi walk pon street
Human body full a crocodile teeth
Still we survive through the tension
No benefits nor no pension
Struggle inna every direction
To redemption
…
Easy on the eyes
Heavy on the heart
The land from which we rise
Been taken all apart
Selfishness and greed
Leading our choices
Take more than we need
While the land is left tob leed
Tears of my continent
Won't fall forever
There'll come a time
When we'll all draw the line
Tears, but my continent
Won't break, no never
Know that the best is yet to come
When we move as one
When we move as one

Speak di truth nuh care if dem like it
Righteousness dem a go fight it
Haile Selassie a no sidekick
Empress Menen a no side chick
Not interested in dem campaign
Not impressed no care di last name
Empty words no tek weh gas pain
So when di thing dem rise a black rain
I speak my mind
I fear no evil
I take my time
I help my people
I stand my ground
I will not crumble
I keep my crown
Here in this jungle
