Christos DC - Crisis 2.0 (Honest Music)

Bij titelnummer 'Crisis 2.0' hoort bovendien een begeleidende video, waarin Christos het huidige sociale klimaat van een Verenigde Staten in crisismodus mooi weet te vatten. 'Rights' is dan weer Christos' antwoord op het aanhoudende (racistisch gemotiveerde) politiegeweld in zijn land.

Voor de herkenbaarheidsfactor zorgde DC dan weer met 'Distraction', waarvoor hij de riddim van Cornell Campbell's klassieker 'Jah Jah Me No Born Yah' recycleerde. Christos DC: "The original song is called 'Jah Jah Me No Born Yahh'. I used to add it to my setlist and decided it would be an interesting song to recreate in a different manner…".

Pandemie of niet, eindigen doet Christos DC met het strijdvaardig getitelde 'Still Living'. De tracklist bevat ook één combination tune waarvoor Christos samenwerkte met Nick Sefakis, gitarist en vocalist bij Iya Terra uit Los Angeles. De muziek voor het nummer werd dan weer aangeleverd door het Nederlandse Skanking Monks en gecombineerd met de inhoud - waarmee Christos en Nick afrekenen met de (sociale) gevolgen van de COVID-19 pandemie en vloed aan valse informatie die we daar allemaal bij te verwerken kregen en krijgen - maakt dit 'Be Of Knowledge' dan ook tot onze favoriete track op 'Crisis 2.0':

Borders get shut while rights they amend, 
Worldwide panic while the numbers extend.  
Protect your breath cause your life it depends, 
trouble comes once, gonna come back again.

talk it makes a problem when it missrepresent, 
create instigation of hysterical content.
