Mahom - King Cat (Flower Coast Records/ODG)

In the track list songs ranging from ambient dubscapes like opener 'Cosmic Cat' or 'Planète' (in which we recognized samples from Manu Chao's 'Infinita Tristeza'), to heavier techno-like tracks like 'Blue Hole' or 'Disappear'. Our favorites from the track list are two vocal cuts: 'Le Temps De L'Amour', a dubby reinterpretation of the classic from French chanson by Françoise Hardy for which Mahom collaborated with Luiza, a French-Brazilian singer from Lyon also active in world-dub project OYA, and 'Digital Badness', a song over a Nintendo-like digital riddim for which they invited Tours based MC Green Cross aka The Mic Alchemist. Excellent French ambient-digi-dub production!
