Tribal Seeds - Roots Party (Baco Records)

By Jah Rebel

Since their formation in 2005, San Diego based band Tribal Seeds, has steadily been building a name for themselves in the US, but Europe hasn't quite followed suit yet. French label Baco Records wants to change this with the release of 'Roots Party'.

On the other side of the Atlantic, 'Roots Party' was already released in 2017 as an EP and 12inch featuring a track list of four new vocal cuts and as many dubs. Baco Records now adds six more hits from older Tribal Seeds albums like 'Tribal Seeds' (2007), 'The Harvest' (2009) or 'Representing' (2014), making 'Roots Party' the perfect calling card to launch this excellent American band in Europe as well. From the four new tracks, it's without any doubt 'Gunsmoke', a combination with Protoje, that easily outdoes the other tracks, but among the older tracks are gems like 'The Garden' or 'Vampire' that certainly belong to the band's best work to date. Europe, are you ready for a 'Roots Party' with Tribal Seeds?
