Cian Finn - This Applies + This Applies In Dub (Emerald Isle Records/Steppas Records)

Finn started out as the front man of Irish reggae band Intinn, but these days pursues a solo career, and for 'This Applies' joined forces with Prince Fatty. The track list features duets with Horseman and veteran Max Romeo (the infectious 'Reasonable' and title track 'This Applies', two highlights on the album), Black Steel for the better guitar work, and together with Hollie Cook, Dub Judah singed for the harmonies. It's once again Prince Fatty who together with musician, composer, producer and solo artist Gaudi now also produced a solid dub version of the album; a release appearing on Ben Alpha's Steppas Records label. From the original track list, only intimate acoustic closing track 'Live Life' wasn't given a dub overhaul on 'This Applies In Dub'. Two absolute discoveries to be played back to back!
