The Dubbeez - Peace, Love & Dub (V2/Tuff Gong)

Under the expert guidance of producers Stephen Stewart and Sam Clayton Jr. they recorded 8 brand new songs and also revamped their best known hits, 'Hangover' and 'Rudeboy'. The new songs are missing the playfulness that we still heard on the EP, but 'Peace, Love & Dub' proves this young Dutch band is still is evolving. The combination of the voices of singer Jerilee Joanne Tholel and singjay Quincy Fleur also on 'Peace, Love & Dub' remains the most infectious asset of the band.

Opener 'Don't Walk Too Fast' sets the tone for the rest of the album, and lovers/break up tunes like 'Love No More' and the up-tempo 'Feelings' were also up our alley. 'I Love Me' is a strong statement about self-acceptance, but the real anthems in the track list are title track 'Peace, Love & Dub', a song with a delicious dubby outro, and 'Hold Us', in which The Dubbeez boldly state that no one can stop them now.
