Jon Moon - Trust (Yutman Records)

In 2016, there was already debut single 'Unification', a duet with Lutan Fyah, which is now also featured on Moon's long player debut 'Trust'. For this album, produced by German producer Ganjaman, Jon collaborated with a number of members of Gentleman's Evolution Band.

Apart from Lutan Fyah, the predominantly English sung album (just for 'Nicht In Bester Lage', also the only ska track on 'Trust', Moon switches to his native German), Ghanaian Commander Messiah (dubby lovers tune 'Sun Shines Brighter'), the aforementioned Ganjaman ('Nicht In Bester Lage') and South African Crosby ('Sweet Song') also made vocal contributions. In 'Rasta Is' Jon nicely summarizes what being Rastafarian means to him, and other recommendations from the track list are the dancehall-flavoured 'Hypocrites' (amateurs of the genre can also check 'Dancehalltrack'), the rootsy 'Camp Reggae' and 'We Are One'. Excellent calling card from a budding German reggae talent.
