For this double album the band drew inspiration from class struggle throughout the centuries. In his lyrics, front man Abdelraheem Kheirawi, among others, talks about slave revolt leader Nat Turner, Chiricahua-Apache leader Cochise, Australian bushranger Edward 'Ned' Kelly, German thinker and founder of Marxism, Karl Marx, Irish politician, resistance fighter and revolutionary Michael Collins, Yugoslav politician and partisan leader Josep 'Broz' Tito and former Libyan leader Muammar al-Gadhafi. All lyrics can be found in the extensive liner notes that come with the album, complemented with illustrations by drummer Mr. Sekey. If you feel like digging even deeper, the liner notes also include part of a 1966 speech by Amílcar Lopes Cabral (Cabral, 21 September 1924 - 20 January 1973, was a Bissau-Guinean and Cape Verdean agricultural engineer, intellectual, poet, theoretician, revolutionary, political organizer, nationalist and diplomat. He was one of Africa's foremost anti-colonial leaders. Also known by the nom de guerre Abel Djassi, Cabral led the nationalist movement of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde Islands and the ensuing war of independence in Guinea-Bissau. He was assassinated on January 20th 1973, about eight months before Guinea-Bissau's unilateral declaration of independence. Although not a Marxist, he was deeply influenced by Marxism, and became an inspiration to revolutionary socialists and national independence movements worldwide, red.), in which he discussed the sense of historical development, the influence of imperialism, the function of colonialism and neo-colonialism and the role of social classes in colonial societies.
