Hugh Mundell - Africa Must Be Free By 1983 (Greensleeves)

In the track list 8 Mundell songs and 9 dubs by Augustus Pablo (the extra version is a dub of Pablo's 'Sufferer's Choice'). Mundell recorded this masterpiece from his limited discography at age 16 (!) back in 1978. The singer's life was cut brutally short when in 1983 he was gunned down in his car on Grants Pen Avenue, Kingston. Mundell's wife and Junior Reid, who were also in the car, remained unharmed. Greensleeves already bundled these same songs on CD a first time back in 1990 ('Africa Must Be Free By 1983/Africa Dub'), but for this reissue all tracks were remastered and re-sequenced, resulting in a showcase style album.
