Seven years after his "comeback album" 'The Rebirth', Pablo Moses returns with 'The Itinuation', for which he joined forces with Groundation front man Harrison Stafford (who also features in title track 'The Itinuation').
Both gentlemen have nothing but praise for each other, with Moses describing Harrison as a son and Stafford regarding Pablo as a father and a mentor. As was the case for 'The Rebirth', for 'The Itinuation' Moses and Stafford surrounded themselves with the cream of Jamaican session musicians: Robbie Lyn behind the keys, Danny 'Axeman' Thompson on bass, Dalton Browne on guitar and in the horn section Dean Fraser and the late Nambo Robinson. Harrison Stafford not only co-produced 'The Itinuation', he also wrote 4 of the tracks on the album ('Attitude', 'Mercy', 'The Lioness' and title track 'The Itinuation') and for the mastering he called on American veteran Jim Fox. The colorful cover design of the album is the work of American artist Rudy Gutierrez. In opener 'You An Me' Moses asks a pertinent question: "Who will be the losers, when we fight about colors? Who will be the sufferers, when we fight over borders?" (hint: the answer is hidden in the song title...). In the songs on this album Moses occasionally sounds a bit too moralizing, but for those who enjoyed 'The Rebirth' this is the perfect itinuation!
