Marla Brown - Survivor EP (Self-published/Golden Brown Music)

Marla remains the daughter of the eternal crown prince of reggae Dennis Brown and his voice resounds in opener and title track 'Survivor'. But D Brown's daughter she may be, on 'Survivor' she also honors her mother Yvonne with the heartfelt 'Mumma Knows Best'. As the title suggests, for 'Crystal Woman', Brown revived the 2005 German hit-riddim. Just as for 'Deliverance', Marla invited two guests for 'Survivor': in 'Zion' Indonesian singer Ras Muhamad is featured, and for closing track 'Roots Rockin' Brown joined forces with Hempress Sativa, an all-female combination and also one of the most infectious songs on this EP.
