Inés Pardo - One Sister Showcase (A-Lone Productions)

Previously Pardo could already be heard on the Lone Ark-compilation 'Oil & Water' (Fak Records, 2006) and since then continued collaborating with Roberto Sanchez. As the title suggests, the album is conceived in traditional showcase style, offering you 6 vocal cuts each time followed by an excellent dub version. 'One Sister Showcase' especially reminded yours truly of productions by UK producers like Mad Professor and Dennis Bovell from the nineteen eighties, with the fantastic lovers tune and closing track 'Run Come Rally' as the absolute highlight. Spanish talent to keep an eye on!
