Of course, iconic tunes like Tenor Saw's 'Ring Di Alarm' (and of course Nitty Gritty's answer 'False Alarm') or Johnny Osbourne's 'No Ice Cream Sound' can't be missing fromnot from the track list, but with no less than 40 tracks split over two discs, 'Special Request' also features a number of lesser known or somewhat forgotten gems like Chuckle Berry & Collie Weed's 'We Murder' (a version of Barrington Levy's 'Murderer'), Quench Aid's 'Beat Down The Fence', or even Banana Man's 'Sound Boy On Your Knees'. But the three tracks that really caught our ear were Barrington Levy's 'Two Sounds', a clash-version of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Two Tribes', a restrained Bounty Killer in 'Dub Fi Dub', and Candy Man's 'Kill A Sound', a reworking of Bob Marley's 'Night Shift'.
