Shiny Roots - Sabor a Libertad EP (Self-published)

By Jah Rebel

If you're one of the thousands of annual tourists spending their summer holidays at the Costa Blanca, you can now also enjoy some local reggae vibes, because Shiny Roots, a five piece band from Alicante now presents it recording debut with the 'Sabor A Libertad' EP.

In the track list 4 songs lacking somewhat in punch. Opener and title track 'Sabor A Libertad' is/sounds reminiscent of the reggae flavored songs many Spanish mestizo bands turn out, 'Ultimamente' borders on salsa, but our favorite from the track list is closing track 'La Fuerza Del Léon' for which guitarist Miguel Sol took care of lead vocals.
