AMJ Collective meets RSD - Sky Blue Love (Astar)

AMJ are Andy Clarke (drums), Mark Spence (bass) and John Hollis (production), all previously active with Restriction (see the releases of Bristol Archive Records). RSD is the alter ego of producer Rob Smith, who in the late nineteen eighties rose to fame as half of trip hop duo Smith & Mighty. Result is a highly enjoyable dub album with a hint of jazz (title track 'Sky Blue Love', 'Depth Drop', 'Serious Signs') and world music ('The Brave Dub', 'Drop Leaf Dub') for which the foursome collaborated with musicians from Cuba, Colombia, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
