Various Artists - Good Day EP (Kingston Express)

Even though with 2015's 'Make It Run', Sticky Joe (real name Joe Simpson) already produced a full-fledged album, this 'Good Day' EP was our first encounter with the Brummie producer.

Of course Cheshire Cat, who over time has become Sticky Joe's right hand man, makes an appearance ('Fussin n Fightin'), but Sr. Wilson, Horseman and Macka B also pop up in the track list. That latter turned title track 'Good Day' into an instant Macka B classic, but the other 4 tracks are definitely party starters as well. In the cover illustration of 'Good Day', done by Sam Greenwood, connoisseurs will recognize a tribute to the now iconic covers the Greensleeves label used for their releases back in the day. Killer EP!
