Jus Goodie - Reggae Rock EP (Roots Musician Records)

The 6 track EP opens with 'Hit Or Miss', a poppy love ballad, which dub version concludes the track list. For title track 'Reggae Rock', in which we honestly heard little rock influences, Goodie was joined by producer E.N. Young, making this song the most infectious on the EP. For ska-tune 'Judge And Jury' Jus Goodie then suddenly gears up a notch, and then it's back to love ballads for 'In A Heartbeat (I'll Run)' and 'Way Back'. Jus Goodie's lyrics still strike us as too simplistic, but thanks to his collaboration with E.N. Young, musically 'Reggae Rock' is beyond reproach.
