Young Lords - Rise (Dibyz Music)

Their joint effort already yielded a first EP in 2015, now followed by 'Rise', a first full-fledged album. 'Humble' and 'Under The Sun', the two tracks that made up the track list of the 'Humble' EP, can also be found on 'Rise'. Title track 'Rise' sets the tone for the rest of the album: near perfectly executed soulful reggae, thanks to Keren's English upbringing, sung in flawless English. For 'Rockin'it' the band even invited deejay-legend Dennis Alcapone, of course immediately lifting the song above the rest of the track list. Yet another French gem!
