The Cliftones - Enemies Scatter (Rebel Sound Records)

'Enemies Scatter' is the long player debut of The Cliftones, a nine-piece formation around Cincinnati, Ohio based Texan Diedrich 'Deke' Jones.

It's also the most Jamaican-sounding American reggae band we've heard in a while, a sound that in great part is also due to Jones who proves fluent in patois. Excellent American powerhouse reggae! Top tracks: opener 'Hypocritical', 'Adonai' and title track 'Enemies Scatter'.
