Noel Ellis meets Lone Ark - Iroko Showcase Vol. 1: Zion (Iroko Records)

By Jah Rebel

Spanish producer Roberto Sanchez continues to produce gem after gem and this time joined forces with Hervé Brizec, producer and mastermind behind the French Iroko Records label. Noel Ellis' 'Zion' is the first of what should eventually become a whole series of showcase releases, each with a vocal cut followed by its dub version.

'Zion' is the kind of album that will grab your attention right from the opening track, holding its grip till the last note, leaving one craving for more: excellent vocals, conscious lyrics and almost perfect instrumentation and production. As the icing on the cake - appearance also matters - there's the beautiful cover illustration, once again a work by Argentine artist Sil Cunningham. We already guarantee 'Zion' a top spot in our list of best albums for 2015. Don't hesitate to purchase!
