Compared to previous editions, the resulting compilation sounds a lot more balanced. Both the first and last track are instrumentals by the so-called VP Hit Team, the studio band behind the hits on this compilation, consisting of drummer Kirk Bennett, bassist Aeion Hoilett, guitarist Dalton Browne, keyboardist Franklyn 'Bubbla' Waul, trumpeter Vivian Scott, saxophonist Everald Gayle, trombonist Everton Gayle and on percussion Clive Hunt himself and Derrick Newman. This collection may carry 'The Biggest Reggae One Drop Anthems 2015' as its title, the first three vocal cuts in the track list are all (albeit successful) covers of reggae classics: Luciano tackles Rod Taylor's 'His Imperial Majesty' (and the same riddim was used for Capleton's 'Motive'), I-Kaya does the same thing with Steel Pulse's 'Worth His Weight In Gold (Rally Round)' and Etana opted for Marcia Griffiths' 'Stepping Out Of Babylon'. Jah9's 'Feeling Irie' is one of the highlights in the track list, and Randy Valentine's 'Take Control' and Raging Fyah's 'Long Road To Travel', ending in a delicious dub outro, could also convince yours truly. The impressive cover illustration is the work of Greensleeves in-house illustrator Tony McDermott.
