Revival - Guidance (Roots Musician Records)

'Guidance' is already the third long player of this band that has been active since 2007 and for this album managed to entice reggae veteran Triston Palmer to lend a hand. His presence gives some of the tracks (opener 'Are You Ready', 'Leave Bout Yah') on 'Guidance' a lovely vintage touch. That being said Palmer's appearance isn't really indispensable, as with David 'Davey Roots' Hahn, Joey 'Selecta Far-I' Pablo, Danny 'Dread' Tornero and Jesse 'Crucial' Fuller Revival can count on no less than 4 lead vocalists. The musicians of Revival may have different musical backgrounds, together they produce a delicious rootsy sound spiced up with the odd solid guitar solo. For yours truly this production by Roots Musician Records producer E.N. Young has proven a real discovery and we hope you'll feel the same way!
