John Life - Fly Away EP (Soundalize It! Records)

Take this 'Fly Away' EP for example, for which Barbadian singjay John Life joined forces with producer LionRiddims of Romanian label Soundalize It! Records. Granted, it's not an obvious combination, but the 6 tracks on 'Fly Away' left us wanting for more. For two tracks (opener 'Try Harder' and 'New Day') John invited his compatriot Indrani, and just the once Life does his thing over a classic riddim (for 'Nah Support Dem' LionRiddims used a sample of the Roots Natty Congo riddim), but even without a well-known riddim, he manages to convince. Definitely an artist to keep an eye on!
