There's a bad rumor going around in reggae circles whispering the dub compilations appearing on the Jamaican Recordings label with the regularity of a clock, aren't really what they appear to be and certainly not the work of dub pioneers like King Tubby, Scientist or Lee Perry. In any case (and rest assured the dubs on 'Sound System' are authentic as they featured on countless other King Tubby compilations in the past), the fact remains we once again thoroughly enjoyed the versions of classic reggae tracks like Leroy Smart's 'Get Smart' (opener 'Exalted Dub'), Johnny Clarke's 'Poor Marcus' and 'Ites Green And Gold' ('Bag A Wire Dub' and 'Dub Ites Green And Gold'), Horace Andy's 'Money Money' ('Chapter Of Money') or Cornel Campbell's 'Jah Jah A Go Beat Them' ('Beat Them Dub').
