Leilani Wolfgramm - Rebel (Roots Musician Records)

The main asset of this album is Leilani's somewhat raspy voice. On 'Rebel' the singer also displays a flair for changing tempo within the same song (opening track 'Sunshine', 'Gold'). Wolfgramm started her career as a member of Hor!zen, a band from Leilani's hometown Orlando, making a guest appearance in the hip-hop flavored 'Into'. Quite contagious is 'Herbivore', an ode to marihuana, previously as single was released. Bonus track 'Love Is Ours' has more of a singer-songwriter vibe setting it somewhat apart from the rest of the track list. Impressive debut!
