Alborosie - Specialist presents Alborosie & Friends (VP Records)

For 'Specialist presents Alborosie & Friends' producer Clifton 'Specialist' Dillon collected just about every duet Puppa Albo recorded over the past few years. In the track list a lot of revamps of old classics like 'Stepping Out' featuring Steel Pulse or 'Natural Mystic' featuring Ky-Mani Marley, with which Alborosie honors the artists who've inspired him, at the same time presenting them to a whole new generation of reggae lovers, and tracks like 'Waan The Herb' featuring Michael Rose or 'Blessings' featuring Etana, that were written especially for the occasion. The only duet missing from the track list and one that we had liked to find on this compilation, is 'Journey To Jah', a song recorded with Gentleman for the soundtrack of the German documentary of the same name, but apart from that minor omission 'Specialist presents Alborosie & Friends' guarantees twenty-four tracks of pure enjoyment.
