While not every track managed to win us over, 'Love And Energy' is a truly enjoyable release. Be sure to check out opener 'New Creature', featuring some delicious saxophone from Oshane Love. If father Bob were still alive, this might well be what he sounded like! Title track 'Love & Energy', featuring Lutan Fyah and Iba Mahr, is another winner, with Kateri Farrell's flute adding what amounts to a fourth voice. The same goes for 'One Family', Ky-Mani's collaboration with Bugle, in which he openly dreams of global unity and one love. And then there's 'Love TKO', a successful reggae take on Teddy Pendergrass's soul classic of the same name.

Anthony B makes two appearances on the album. First, he joins Andrew Tosh on 'When The World', before teaming up with Sizzla and Agent Sasco/Assassin on 'War Inna Babylon'. Despite the title, this is not a cover of Max Romeo's classic, but a militant new tune built on a riddim driven by nyahbinghi percussion.

As the title suggests, Ky-Mani approached this album with the right mindset and you can hear it in every groove!
