JahLight HiFi was created in 1991 by Ras.T & JahKnow, just following the beginning of the radioshow "Music From Jamaica" (1991-2006). We are one of the oldest sound system from the Lille (France) area (exactly Roubaix City). Collecting Reggae Music for ages, we can play from old Ska & RockSteady to latest out of stores record, from rarities to classic tunes, and also remixes and dubplate specials, we can play at any venue and any dance. JahLight played in many places in Lille and near areas (Condition Publique, Splendid, Stax'O'Soul, Arche I Roots, Maquis Chalice, Djoloff, Détour, la Malterie, etc...) and in Belgium (Mouscron, Gand, Tournai, Anvers) with many international sounds like Civalizee (BE), Downbeat The Ruler (US), Runn Sound (NL). In 2004 we were part of big events like the opening of the ILand Festival, the Dour festival and the Printemps de Bourges. Since some years, two other members have joined the team (Junior Blend & Occi) and even if we play less times now (family & regular jobs have catch us) we're still alive and we're always ready to mash up any place.
