Giraffe Soundsystem was founded in 2004 by selector Invisible Bram (who originated in T-wood)& MC's Saimn-I & Original Messenjah (who both originated in Bruges). Like the Jamaican tradition they also have a own soundsystem (see picture) that was build by engineer Frenkstar (also T-wood member).
Since 2005 Giraffe Sound is based in Leuven having also opened Giraffe Records & Clothing Shop at the Diestse Straat (www.girafferecords.be).
In the dancehall the sound specializes in playing the oldies from ska, rocksteady to classic roots,dub & rubadub. Besides that selection they have a quality name & flavour in bringing Dubstep, Funk & Worldmusic. Like they say themselves "WE LOVE ALL GOOD MUSIC." They have had numerous guests on the sound like Sister Nancy(JAM), Top Cat(UK), Denis Alcapone(JAM), Dubterror(UK), Radical Guru(UK), Rob Sparx (UK), Cluekid(UK) & Played venues like Reggae Geel, Depot, Petrol, Pole Pole Beach Machine, Sojo, JK Paddestoel, Mek it Burn, Cameleon Fest, Fiesta Mundial ...
