Organisation / Promotor from Oost-Vlaanderen specialized in:

  • Dancehall

Born in ’90, DJ Pro-Teaz is a well-respected deejay nowadays. Music has always been something that moved him; playing drum for 6 years was a beginning but didn’t give him the satisfaction he needed. Influenced by his 5-year-elder brother he started practicing the 5th element of Hiphop: beatbox. Competing in battles was fun but it was at the afterparty’s he really knew what he wanted to do.

At the age of 16, he bought a few hiphop records even before he possessed the means to play them. Working hard in vacations allowed him to buy turntables and a mixer. At first, he strictly focused himself on hiphop but as he evolved, so did his love for a new genre: dancehall. He found that dancehall gave him the right energy and variety, which he searched in his sets.

After nearly 6 months of handling the decks and an age of 17, DJ Pro-Teaz participated at a young talent contest for former dancehallparty “Decadancehall”, organized by Raggamuffin Whiteman, which he won. This gave him the opportunity to prove himself in front of deejays that had been playing for several years. Not only was he invited several times more to Decadancehall, he was also noticed by other urban deejays and served his part on the urban/hiphop nights at Decadance as well.

DJ Pro-Teaz has played on events like Boom Bang Bang (Ghent), The Licious (Avelgem) and Bad2DiBone (Leuven). In this moment, he is the organizer of a strictly dancehallparty at Decadance called “Red Alert”.
