STARRING - STRAIGHT OUTTA PARIS :

the Mighty LORD ZELJKO outta King Dragon Sound...

Lord Zeljko started playing tunes in Paris in 1984, and joined the legendary Earthquake Sound. Five years later he decided to set up his own KING DRAGON SOUND.
Zeljko was a pioneer in continental Europe. He was the first one to have a direct link with Jamaica, play brand new dancehall vibes and cut dubplates.
He went on production work with the likes of General Degreee, Reggie Stepper, Papa San or Pinchers. Finally he did compilations for Jammy's, Bobby Digital or Treasure Isle.
The MC of King Dragon, Culture Lee, was also working with Black Scorpio as an engineer and therefore, Zeljko's dub-box contains Specials by Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, ... Garnett Silk... and much more.
Lord Zeljko's never stopped mashup places since, offering the best of old and new school vibes. In 2003, he created the Dancehall web radio : www.boomblast.com, playing reggae dancehall music 24 horus a day !!!

Lord Zeljko will play a 3 hours set in memory of the Late Garnett Silk. Be ready for 100% original old skool dubplates !

Exactly 44 years ago, on 2nd April 1966, Garnett Silk was born.

Years later, he became one of the most inspired reggae artists of all times. Bringing consciousness and uplifting music in a era dominated by dancehall.

For many, he was the one who brought a revival in roots and culture music, carrying the legacy of great artists as Bob Marley, Jacob Miller, Dennis Brown...

Lots of his songs became classical tunes, touching the hearts of reggae lovers worldwide.

A tragic death took this young Rasta much too early but his music lives on. He was an influence for some of the best artists who did arise since then : Luciano, Ras Shiloh, Sizzla, Jah Cure...

Tomorrow in Leuven, we'll remember his music and pay him due tribute.
